Yep we're home, and can't believe its all over.
After a year of planning with you all it was even better than we could have imagined.
Couldn't believe the transformation of Magnetic Island Tropical Resort when we returned after the ceremony.
The food was amazing, even better than you promised, and we're so grateful. As our family as so fussy. Was great that they were full of praise, made us feel glad we'd made the right decisions on the reception venue.
Roy was amazing and his photos (which we got when we returned from honeymoon) were more than we could have dreamed of.
The accommodation was as perfect as we hoped, and our friends and family all said it was the best holiday they'd had for ages. So thank you for everything. We'll be back....maybe for anniversaries who knows.
Thanks again, and please stay in touch. Will be odd not to have those emails to look forward to.

We just wanted to write and say thank you so much for making our dream of a wedding on a tropical island come true. The whole year of planning couldn't have been easier and having never been to the island before we really didn't know what to expect.
Have to say it was more beautiful than we expected and everbody who helped us on the day made things so much more enjoyable than we thought it could possibly be.
Magnetic Island Tropical Resort was just perfect for our reception.
Couldn't believe when we arrived back after sunset photographs that it looked just like the photos.
The food was divine and there was more than enough (as promised). The staff were great and nothing was a problem. Even when we forgot to provide the first dance song, and they found it on itunes and downloaded it just in time for us. Thanks again for diverting that disaster!
Our guests were blown away by Pure Magnetic, and those staying at One Bright Point also loved it. So that was a relief for us as you know. They all said on the flight back to Melbourne on Monday night they'd never been to a better wedding.
You never know we may be back for an anniversary one day!.

Well I honestly cant believe its all over! I dont quite know what to do with my self now!
Tim and I have not stopped talking about our fantastic weekend since we got back, it was everything we'd hoped for and so much more.
We've already started getting e-mails from our friends and family saying what a fantastic wedding it was and I just couldn't have been more thrilled with it.
For such a large family we had never been on a holiday together and I think it was just what everybody needed! It was so relaxed and fun, once I was there I didnt feel stressed at all, and you and Pam took care of every last detail so we didn't have to think of anything!
Thankyou so much for making it the wedding of our dreams! We have so many beautiful memories that will last a lifetime and I couldn't be more grateful. I'm just sad that I no longer have an excuse to e-mail you guys anymore!!! I feel like Im losing a couple of friends!! Please feel free to give my e-mail to anyone thinking of having a wedding with you guys, I'd be more than happy to give you a glowing reveiw.

Wedding - 19th August 2006.
Thankyou to everyone involved in making our wedding day so perfect!
We had an absolute dream day, actually we had a dream weekend. Being able to spend the evening before the wedding with all of our friends and family was a fantastic way to warm things up for the big day itself.
It meant we were able to spend heaps of time with everyone rather than trying to "get round" all of our guests on the actual wedding day! The food was fantastic, as were the staff who helped us all switch to "island time", kick back and relax with a few cocktails!
Waking up on the island with the sun shining was the start of our dream wedding coming true. Breakfast in the morning was great, I'm sure most brides wouldn't have even looked at the huge choice of cooked options however I happily stacked my plate full of bacon and eggs, afterall I knew this would be the only meal I would actually sit down to eat that day!
We had our ceremony down at Alma Bay on the grass over looking the beach. It was a bit windy which made things slightly" interesting" but it didn't ruin anything. The beach set up looked stunning, with the red carpet and white flags, it just set it all off wonderfully. Felt a bit like royalty walking down the isle!
When we got back to the reception after many hours of smiling for our photos we were just overwhelmed with how beautiful everything looked. Even though we had chosen the colours and the table settings etc, we couldn't ever imagine it turning out so gorgeous!
It looked like something out of a fairy tale with all the fairy lights and decorations! We had a great reception with amazing food, so so much food, and champagne that seemed to just flow, and flow, and flow some more! The girls behind the bar and who were serving the tables were all so lovely and friendly. We really did get everything we wanted and more...
All of our guests came up to us during the evening and commented on how much of a fantastic location it was to hold a wedding, so relaxing and pretty. A lot of them even commented saying that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to!! I know it was the best wedding Daryl and I had ever been to! :)
Having the Sunday to enjoy breakfast and another meal in the evening was great too as it meant we could spend more time with friends and family who had travelled a long distance to be with us (from the UK) and wallow in more talk about how great the wedding was. It was designed to be a "wind down dinner" however I think the remaining guests who joined us managed to have more to drink and stay up later than they did on either the Friday or the Saturday night!!
Thankyou Emma, Rachel and all of the team at Tropical Island Resort... we hope to know someone who decides to get married at your resort some day and get an invite along so we can enjoy it all over again! And we will be coming back to stay with you again soon - we need a break away from the real world over here on the mainland!

Wedding - August 3rd 2006
Hi Emma
I am so sorry I have not written sooner - getting home has been a whirl of visiting people and showing off the photos.
I've attached some of them for you to see what a perfect day it was. As I said before, if you ever want to give out my email to prospective clients to say how wonderful the whole process and day were I am happy to sing your praises.
It was the most magical day anyone could dream of, the team at the resort - Wendy who became my surrogate mother for the day, Sally and her calmness and Mary Ann who saw the humor behind the day and captured it brilliantly.
The food was unbelieveable every guest was amazed at the outstanding quality and service, we could have asked for nothing more. The arrival of a possum during the speeches finished the day off perfectly. I only wish we could do it all again and again. Please send our love and thanks to everyone involved - remember we will happily talk on the phone email or write to anyone who may need some inout. Hi Emma,
We would just like to extend a big (slightly belated) thankyou to everyone at the resort and Best of Magentic Weddings. All of our guests were well looked after and all raved about the beautiful location and how relaxed the whole weekend was - some said it was the best small holiday they'd had in years!
Could you also please pass on my thanks to Katrina, she did a fabulous job on our hair and makeup - she does beautiful work!
I've attached some (okay, several!) of MaryAnne's photographs from the day (not sure if you've seen any yet!). MaryAnne was wonderful and I'd highly recommend her to anyone getting married on Maggie!
